Role-based access control with email invitations and instant deactivation
Overview
EliteHMS supports 6 staff roles with distinct module access: Admin (full), Pharmacist (medicines/billing/patients), Doctor (appointments/EMR/AI), Nurse (nursing station/vitals/MAR), Receptionist (patients/appointments/billing), Lab Tech (lab tests only). Staff are invited via email and set their own password. Deactivated accounts preserve the full audit trail.
Standard Operating Workflow
Invite Staff
Enter email, select role. Invitation sent. Staff clicks link, sets password. Account active.
Role Enforcement
Each role sees only permitted modules. Pharmacist cannot access Payroll. Nurse cannot access Accounting.
Deactivate
Toggle staff to Inactive. Account blocked immediately. All historical records remain linked to their name.
Role Change
Admin can change role at any time. Permissions update immediately on next login.
