Smart Patient Matching

Detect and merge duplicate patient records automatically

Overview

Duplicate patient records accumulate over time — 'Muhammad Ali', 'M. Ali', 'Mohammad Ali' all become separate records for the same person. EliteHMS scores every patient pair (0–100) using phone number, CNIC, name similarity (Levenshtein distance), age, gender, and city. High confidence pairs (85+) are flagged for review. Merging re-points all bills, prescriptions, lab tests, and appointments to the surviving record.

Standard Operating Workflow

1

Run Scan

Patient Matching → Rescan. System calculates match scores for all patient pairs.

2

Review Pairs

Pairs shown by confidence: High (85+), Medium (70–84), Low (65–69). Score rationale shown.

3

Compare Fields

Side-by-side comparison. CNIC on one record but not other → option to use from either.

4

Confirm Merge

Choose record to keep. All linked data re-pointed. Financial totals combined. Duplicate archived.
