Overview
EliteHMS IPD covers the entire inpatient journey: patient admission to a specific bed, doctor medicine orders (with schedule auto-calculation), nurse MAR administration recording, running charges accumulation, and final discharge with automatic bill generation. Every step is timestamped and auditable.
Standard Operating Workflow
Admission
Search patient, select ward and available bed, enter admission diagnosis and attending doctor. Bed instantly marked Occupied.
Doctor Orders
Doctor adds medicine orders: name, dose, route, frequency. System calculates administration schedule (Twice daily → 08:00 + 20:00 automatically).
MAR Sheet
Nurses see all scheduled doses by time. Each dose: [Given] [Skipped] [Refused]. Given logs nurse name + timestamp. Refused/Skipped require reason.
Running Charges
Room charge auto-adds daily. Nurse adds procedure charges (IV Setup, Dressing etc.). Running total visible to doctor and admin.
Discharge
Doctor enters discharge diagnosis and notes. System generates full bill: room days × rate + procedures + medicines + labs. Patient pays, balance tracked.
